It also offers limited financial counseling on basic financial matters such as what do to with a small inheritance, evaluating different financial options and so on. This ministry is staffed with trained budget counselors. If you are interested in serving in this ministry, there are periodic training classes offered where training is composed as a volunteer budget counselor. If a referral to a financial advisor required for more complex cases, they will be referred to Neil Pitchel.

>> Crown Ministries

"If therefore you have not been faithful in the use of worldly wealth, who will entrust the true riches to you?" Luke 16:11

Welcome to the crown ministries at evbc. We are thankful that the Lord has directed your interest in finding a biblical perspective on managing your finances. Managing money and possessions is an important issue for believers, as shown by the many hundreds of verses in scripture dealing with finances. We offer the crown financial study to help believers learn and apply Biblical principles of money management. The crown financial study is a 10-week small group study on financial topics. Students will gain a biblical perspective on issues such as ownership, debt, contentment, counsel, work, saving and giving. Along with the Bible study, students complete a practical application workbook designed to organize one's finances, develop a budget and begin living on it. We offer the crown study every summer at evbc. Look at our events page and announcements in the print and electronic bulletins for the crown orientation. At the orientation, you'll receive more details about the study, and have the opportunity to enroll and purchase the course workbooks.

>> Benevolence

This ministry provides temporary monetary and/or material aid for families and individuals in acute financial hardship. Applicants have access to basic professional services via evbc volunteers, and an assessment of needs is completed with a trained evbc financial counselor. There is a requirement to obtain budget counseling on an on-going basis to provide the skills needed in managing money as well as to provide a level of accountability in living a biblically-based life in the area of finances.
