As followers of Jesus, it is our goal and desire to know and to make Him known. We look to His word to give us an understanding of how great He is. We watch Him in ministry to see what passions and desires He has. And we listen to the word to know what He would have us to do.

Jesus loves people. He loves sinners. He has compassion on them and he knows we need Him. He does not compartmentalize between the physical and spiritual needs of people. He sees all their needs and He reaches them.

What is more, He calls us to be His ambassadors, in our local community, in our region and to the very ends of the earth. Jesus commands us to go: "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."

For these reasons, whether we are ministering in the community or around the world we believe in serving people holistically and working for community transformation.  Furthermore, we desire to empower communities we in with Biblical principles.  These principles guide us in balancing grace and compassion with the importance of work and self-sufficiency. In other words, we believe in helping people and communities with a hand up, not a hand out.
